No argument there. I thought being talked down from $2500 would hopefully land
me somewhere in the $1500 to $1750 range. In our local trade magazine "The
Uncle Henry's Reader" 96-97 treps go from $500 in sad shape to $3000 with
around 85-90k.

Would you pay $4000 for a 98 Intrepid 3.2L with 118K miles? Even one with
good sheetmetal, working A/C, and good tires? I wouldn't. It's too much
for a 9 year-old car with close to 120,000 miles on it. Tops I'd pay about
3000, and it would have to be *perfect*. There are just too many other
low-mileage alternatives out there, and too many things can go wrong with a
car at that mileage with that amount of electronic goodies (mine was an
ES).
