In my opinion (and I realize different people will see this differently) I
would rather change the Mopar OEM part once and have it last another 80,000
miles (and then pay full price again) than change the OEM part out for a
"lifetime warranty" reman and then spend my "lifetime" swapping out poorly
rebuilt components over and over and over again. I'm not made of money, but
my time is worth something.

Somewhere during the middle of the third power steering pump change (ever
done one on an Intrepid? Fun city. Not.) I got this through my thick
skull.

The other stuff I would pay top dollar for? Thermostats. Water pumps.
Timing belts and their tensioners and pulleys. Oxygen sensors. Power
steering lines. All of these things are a difficult job for a DIYer on an
Intrepid, and some of them can cause catastrophic damage when they fail
prematurely. The thermostat is plain and simple an enormous PITA on a
3.2L/3.5L
Intrepid. It's a job you only want to have to do ONCE.
