Cool, if you want to try it out, I'll be at the new hackerspace at 7600 N. Interstate Ave helping rennovate the building this weekend both days all day. I usually carry the soldering iron in my backpack wherever I go.

I’m interested in trying it out, personally, for this reason: I have a regular 3/8” corded drill at home. Lots of power, works great, never needs to be recharged. I never use it. I invariably grab the cordless drill.

What's the hackability potential for adding temperature control?
Doesn't the lack of having this limit it to non-IC soldering, at least
for beginners?
