Hi Terry, > > I'd forgotten that. Your idea is that the car doesn't like long, > > complicated filenames?
No, more than that. We don't know what the Mini doesn't like so remove as much of what's possibly objectional as you can. ‘If the Mini still refused to play ball then I'd start at the opposite end: have a FAT32 USB stick with nothing but three MP3 files at the top level. Don't let the MP3s be anything too exotic, like particularly long. And have their filenames be simple, e.g. no spaces, and no too unusual punctuation. ‘If the Mini likes that then add more variety in different dimensions until something breaks. ... ‘Did you try my suggestion? Start simple. Three MP3 files: f1.mp3 f2.mp3 f3.mp3 ‘Short, simple filenames. All quite short in play length, like a few minutes.’ -- Cheers, Ralph. -- Next meeting: Online, Jitsi, Tuesday, 2025-07-01 20:00 Check to whom you are replying Meetings, mailing list, IRC, ... https://dorset.lug.org.uk New thread, don't hijack: mailto:dorset@mailman.lug.org.uk
