Yes the crystal is grounded just fine. This is a new xtal. I suppose now I need to pad C2 some how. The crystal in my R-4A receiver was off by a lot and the new one was right on. When I ordered them I made sure I got a pair that was temperature oriented in such a way to keep the Tx Rx pair with the same drift characteristics as was mentioned in one of your articles I read somewhere. Actually the old T4X crystal was closer to 5645 then the new one. Any other ideas would be helpful. I enjoyed seeing your picture in the Electric Radio. Boy you're a young handsome devil!!! Thanks Jim Garey Barrell wrote: > > Garey Barrell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the > drakelist gang > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > Jim - > > I hope you mean 5646.11 kHz !! > > Be sure the MODE switch is NOT in CW when you are trying to set the > frequency.
