I believe I SHOULD have said that in the 6GJ5 tube, the internally connected
"...cathode & suppressor grid come out at pin #3", and NOT at pin #8...

No matter: it would STILL place the cathodes of the finals directly to
ground, bypassing all of the metering, cathode bias resistors / bypass
capacitors, etc., which would simply be left "floating".
