Hi all,
Since it sounds like the existing 'ant update' behavior is preferred, I'm going
to just mark this issue as "won't fix" again. I'll open up a separate "new
feature" (for post-1.8.0) and move my ant-build-version2.patch over there -- as
I still think the 'auto-merging' of configs could make a good optional
feature/flag. But, in order to get 1.8 out the door, I'll refrain from
committing anything to Trunk.
Thanks for all the feedback! I'm satisfied with the end result here. Even
though we didn't change anything, we got discussion flowing about potential
future options, etc.
