I agree with the others that you will have few problems if you get Office 98
and, if you buy now, the free upgrade to Office 2001 in October. Excel is
excellent at transferring between platforms, although word does have a few
formatting glitches on heavily formatted documents. If you don't really care
for AOL, you can get another ISP and keep your AOL account as a Bring Your
Own Service for about $10 a month.
