I do it a lot from my 2400 to my office WinNT machine and vice versa.
It is easy but not without issues.

You may find spreadsheets with linkages to Windows apps or
network-resident sheets. This latter is not a Mac/PC thing, but can
frustrate you nonetheless. More annoying, I set up a document with all
sorts of style sheets that busted when I moved them across the divide
and then back: all the styles in my document turned into the "WP
Phonetic" font (why do I collect all this junk?) and I temporarily
thought the doc had gotten horribly corrupted. Get to like Arial and
Times New Roman, both of which vie for the ugliest look you can put on
the screen, but PC types find 'em perfectly good enough.

You wouldn't want to deal with fine-tuning a presentation on the 2400
and then ship it to a colleague's PC for final printing. I have not
found an equivalent Mac printer driver to the ubiquitous (sp?) HP
LJ5's. You will get enough difference in margins, line-spacing, etc.,
that almost certainly, Murphy will put the PC version's "Summary"
boldface headline as the last item on a page, whereas it fell right at
the top of a page on your copy. You see similar crud almost everywhere,
these days: al-right hyphenated right in the middle of a line of the
newspaper, etc. Again, the only issue is not having the same print
driver in use; I just don't know how to overcome it in the 2400-to-Win
world.

Finally, you may see differences in graphics embedded in your dox. I
haven't found this to be major, but if you have lots of letterhead,
logos or other artwork, and if you need it to look just right, you may
have to make sure that the two versions treat it just the same.

In summary, you can get 98% or better compatibility with no sweat, but
the last 1% or so might be nearly impossible. My solution? Be arrogant
that I'm doing the right thing. :)

Good luck!
