OK I'm in the thread with a simple question? What is the reason to have the
charger hooked up to the Duo for charging the battery other than to update
the charger? I just hooked my M1812 up and put in a Type 2 and a Type 3
battery and both of them worked just fine, giving me a yellow light until
charged and then a green light. I even tried both slots and they both work,
and the charger is just hooked up, not the Duo also.
