Make sure that contact is being made with the battery terminals. I have
one third party battery that came with one of my machines and itseems a
little to fat to fit in the charger (maybe someone FRANKENSTEINed
it!!!!! --that was for you MD) anyway, after wiggling it for a bit I got
it to light up and charge just fine. It seems to me that you need to
contact the seller and ask if s/he has ever charged a type 3 in it. (BE
NICE! don't go and accuse them of misleading you, just ask!) If not, I
imagine that you need to follow the instructions in Apple's TIL for
updating the ROM in the charger to allow it to charge type 3
batts. (search for 'Duo charger' in the TIL)
