I just dealt with this for about the fifth time now. I just let the machine sit
powerless for a few days. For good measure I inserted a pencil into the restart
switch and held it for 3 days also. Starts fine now.
For reference, where is the PRAM battery and how does one remove it?
My more immediate problem is that the computer does not run off the AC power
source anymore and I am down to the last 25% of my last battery. Trying to
figure out if the AC adapter is bad (but voltmeter shows it producing current)
or if there is some power management problem in the computer.
Anyone know how I can test the power management system, i.e. whatever contols
switch between internal/external power sources & recharging of batteires. Does
this system go bad, is it controlled by some sort of software, etc.
thanks,
Marc
