I installed the new system plus reformatted the drive while Tones(of Death)
was in a DuoDock. This cleared up Tone's tones. Tone's screen would light up
but it was so badly damaged that I took it off and swapped the screen from
Weird (video). Weird's weird video had every other vertical row of pixels ON
and it did this even when I put a 280c screen on it. So I knew it had to be
a VRAM thing.

Well, somewhere in the swapping process I screwed something up. Both Tones &
Weird WOULD light up a screen. After I stuck the screen from Weird onto
Tones, then Tones would not light up. Tones would boot and it will display
something on the LCD, which I can see under a bright light (ya know, the
more I say this the easier it is to understand, scary). It just won't turn
on the lamp.

So as I said before, I put the screen back on Weird and pulled the drive
from Tones, since it had a clean install of the system, and darned if I
didn't get the exact same problem. No lamp. I put the old drive back in and
still no lamp.

Zapped PRAM, reset power manager, cussed, went downstairs and kicked my
son's Windoze machine (well...I thought about it). Still nothing.

Anybody got a motherboard they want to unload? Otherwise I might be parting
out these babies.
