It is extremely unlikely any 2x0 series backlight lamp will work with
a 2300 display.  I have dismantled my old Duo 230 (bad LCD with huge
purple blob in the middle) and the lamp is a sheet slightly bigger
than the LCD itself.  IIRC the 2300 display is much bigger than any
older display.

There is also a possibility the power inverter used to power the
backlight may be burned out.  I didn't find a fuse on that board but
I'm looking at a 230 and not a 2300 so there will be a difference.
