stop doing anything for about 20-30 seconds. And then start working again as
though nothing happened. Some kind of sleep apnea for Powerbooks? I've used
8.6 for a long time, and never had this until recently. I can enter mouse
clicks or whatever while 'frozen' and then when it 'thaws' all these clicks
get applied in rapid succession. Don't know what I did, but it's probably
something I caused with extensions... :-(

I have the same problem as David, so I ran script editor (for the first
time) as suggested by Jay. The results:
{"Application Switcher", "Control Strip Extension", "Folder Actions", "Time
Synchronizer", "Internet Explorer", "Outlook Express", "Microsoft Word",
"Sherlock", "Script Editor"}
I have had these annoying temporary freezes that can last longer the 30
seconds for some time now. It happens when I'm online. When I have the
same apps open but am not online, never happens.
