One thing you said reminded me of what happened to my duo 2300c. When I pressed on
my 2300 and kept pressure on it it would work great until I released the pressure
then it would die. It turned out that when I looked closely at the 603 processor on
the mother board one of the very tiny metal tabs that go down and attach the
processor to the board looked funny... I used a magnifying lens to look more closely
and it looked like it had corroded and caused a crack when pressure was applied it
caused the board to bow, made contact and would run. If there had been some way for
me to solder something that tiny I might have been able to fix it, but I just had to
buy a replacement board. Just something else for you to check...Willie
