>months of use compared to your 2400?
Well, I'm not Chuck, but I'll offer my experience with transitioning from my 2400 (which a fellow lister resurected) to my iB2.
The absolute best part was having a reliable USB port for my Ricochet modem. It made a tremendous difference in the modem's speed and connection reliability. The second best part was burning a CD for the first time ever without reading the help files.
Other highlights are having more than 80 megs of memory, analyzing my golf swing with iMovie and having a battery lasting more than 50 minutes. (This is no big deal as I'm still in the habit of running off AC at home and at work.)
The downside is that I'd rather use a PC card Smartmedia adaptor instead of the USB box, the shiny finish is ridiculously fragile, I don't have a SCSI port and I had to buy a floppy drive. I didn't like the keyboard at first (too big!!!) but I've adjusted. I also hate the AC yo-yo, but MCE has an adaptor for my Madisonline that I can use on the iB2 which is much easier to lug around.
As a side note, I find that even though I don't have a 2400 anymore, I still enjoy this list a great deal and can't bear to unsubscribe. The iBook list isn't quite there yet. . .
