You talking to *me* Sidney?

If so, here is my answer: I don't have an iBook2 yet. =)

I 'test drove' one for a day, but did not make the buy.

Here's why:
I'm going to wait for OS 10 to get stable, feature complete, and
shipping on new hardware.

I *love* my 2400c, have a lot of $$ invested in stuff for it (PC
Cards mostly) and *really* like MacOS 8.6. The 2400c is my personal
machine, and it goes with me everywhere. As long as it still works,
and I'm happy. I don't see the need to swap it for a newer PB.

I DO like the iB2. I just don't feel the need to buy one yet. It
feels to me a tad crippled in an artificial manner (to prevent TiBook
sales cannibalization IMHO) and so until I *need* to run OS 10 on my
own personal hardware I'm going to wait.

BTW: I like OS 10, being an old NeXTstep admin. I also love 8.6. But
for some reason I'm not a big fan of any version of OS 9. Go figure.
It feels like a kludge to me.... a big messy kludge. Reminds me of
System 7.5.x. <shudder> ... Whereas 8.6 feels like System 6.0.5 or
so... feature complete and stable.
