Apparently something is afoul w/the System.....and/or it > is not a properly blessed System Folder. > That last point is one I was going to make. Sometimes copying a System Folder to another drive can leave things in a state where the System Folder isn't 'blessed'. If the System Folder just looks like a generic folder, you need to simply open and then close the folder. When you close it, the icon should look like a normal System Folder. That ought to fix the situation. (Was this covered earlier? If so, pardon the repetition...) The other thing is, perhaps, the boot blocks on the floppy are damaged. Face it, most of the floppies we have sitting around are quite old and many of them have seen a great deal of use. As are the floppy drives. I've got a drive in my PowerComputing that I think I may have to replace because I can't get it to successfully format a floppy and it has problems writing to floppies I format on my 7600. - Eric. -- Eric Strobel (fyzycyst@NOSPAM^mailaps.org) ===================================================================== END RADIOPHOBIA!!!
