Dear Gurus,
Responding to my inquiry if a 2400c with a 240 nupower upgrade
would run with 7.6, Mr .Mawyer wrote: "I would swear that's what my 2400
shipped with...thought my startup
CD has OS 8 on it. Most of us are pretty partial to OS 8.6 unless
you have a significant reason for using 7.6. "
I like 7.6 for two reasons. (a) I'm used to it. (b) I have never
used 8.6 but to me, the utility Popup Folder is worth all the bells and
whistles on my iMac's 9.1. (and PF won't run on OS8.
The 2400 did ship with 7.6 but the Apple 2400 240 G3 shipped with
8.1 and, according to Apple specs, supported nothing earlier.
So: will the 2400 with 240 upgrade run with 7.6?
