Yes. =)

The 2400c originally shipped with 7.6 (.1 I believe.)

Later 2400c's came with 8.0.

I doubt that any ROM changes were made that prevents any model 2400c 
from booting 7.6.

However, I have no experience with the Newer Upgrade cards, so I can 
not confirm if they require a particular minimum OS rev.
