Okay, well, I went ahead and plugged the old Performa Plus display in, and
it worked with no problems.  So, one could conclude that my PowerBook is
fine, the monitor is fine, and the adapter is fine.  If everything is so
peachy, what am I missing?  Please advise before all of my hair is gone.
