Personally, I recommend for moving a file from Word*whatever* to anyone on an unknown (or known but other than M$) platform to save the file as an RTF (Rich Text Format) file. RTF is readable by most word processing programs without having to use special translators. Even Wordpad. I think SimpleText will read it also...
