I use FreePPP, and after successfully connected to my ISP, it displayed
"Connected at 44000 kbps V42 bis" for a second or two. On my 280c I use
the built in PPP and after connected, it always display the connection
speed.

One more thing, where can I get modem script for obscure PC Card like
mine (a Prolink 56K)?? It doesn't have Mac driver. I use FreePPP because
it lets you type in the initialization string which provided on the
manual. I don't know how to change initialization string on MacOS's PPP.
