The first thing that I'd try, is simply going through the different modem
drivers already in the system. It is quite likely that one of them will
work fine as a generic driver for your modem - I had the same problem with
a MacSurfer 56K PC card modem, and I used a different script for a couple
of months while their support got itself together...
