I believe your desktop reports modem to internet speed (which is what I 
think you want).  Your 2400c, I think, is reporting computer to modem 
speed.  I am using the "GV flex/V.90 ARA 2.1/3.0/OT-PPP" modem script (I 
believe it came with the latest update, 3.0.6?).  Also, from the modem 
display on the menu bar, I have selected the "Technical Menu" which 
displays the connect speed.
