[DX-NEWS] yap - micronesia or belau(palau)?

i worked kc6cg back in 1978.  qth was given as yap, western carolines.  i know the western carolines are now belau (t8), but i see mention of yap being in micronesia (v6).    anybody got a definite answer on this (before i ask arrl)? 73 de STEVE, KZ2I CHARLOTTE, NC USA
