The Sierra Club has debated the question, had a question on a ballot that went
to the membership and the vote was in favor of not seeking limits on immigration.
There are organizations that advocate a limit on immigration as a way to protect
the enviroment ( stop population growth). I am glad the Club membership voted the
idea down and continues to advocate education and health care for women as a
means of controling population. I believe in the "root cause" agruement for
affecting world population problems.
