I have had more than one HR person ask me to "update" my resume for the work I
was doing because we needed another person and they just copy it for the
posting. I've never seen one do it this baldly (and badly), though. I'm going
to take a wild guess that English might not be Anshul Gangwar's native tongue.

Subject: Re: [EDI-L] <JOBS> EDI DEVELOPER 6+ months contract in CEDARHURST, NY.‏

OK, thanks for the qualification Ken, but you have to admit this one
*is* a bit weird. For your edification (and late Friday entertainment)
I'll note where it reads more like a resume than an opening:

* Helped 5010 HIPAA team to carry out Gap Analysis and Mapping for
products MHC, MHS, Amisys, QMACS.
* Provided various innovative ideas and solutions in production
environment to stabilize the existing system.
* Trained and mentored new resource in ECMAP skills and brought them
up to the speed
* Being a PPQA, ensured the deliverables are meeting/exceeding
customers expectations
* Played the role of Team leader and marked Far exceeding
expectations from Clients.
* Implemented CMM-I Level 3 in EDI project with Zero non-
conformances and been awarded star for zero non conformances.
(does that mean the prospective employer wants someone to have
give the candidate a gold star? Or is it that this req was mostly
cribbed from the resume of someone who got a gold star?)

And, in general, the use of past tense verbs (developed, worked, etc.)
as opposed to conventional phrasing like "the ability to", "proficiency
in", etc.

Personally, i would be a bit wary of any employer or recruiter who sends
out such a sloppily written opening.

Cheers,

Mike
