I have a very different take on “good communications skills” because
speaking English is only a start. I have worked with several consultants
and managers who are very knowledgeable, but cannot educate those around
them. They either talk way over their heads, or digress so often that they
are impossible to follow. In my mind, those who can answer a question in
such a way that the person who asked it understands the answer is probably
the best communicator of all.

Sincerely,

Yes, I agree, communications is VERY important although not necessarily
offered...

Too bad candidates can't request the same of the recruiters... there have
been
several instances I really felt like asking how well the recruiter could
speak the english language or even request they just take a course in
speaking
english, but held my tongue...

Of course I can choose to vote with my decision NOT to work with some
recruiters...

Hmmm... based on all the comments this thread re "Is this is a 'positions
wanted' or a 'positions offered' posting?" ......

.. I can only hope members - active participants and 'lurkers', newbies and
long-timers alike - have a deeper appreciation of why so many employers
request candidates for any position have "good communications skills."
