Over, I have had many occasions when faculty members have consulted with me to
check their understanding of methodological/statistical issues. (Even though I was
a Fed, not an academic.)

One of the things I'm going to be looking into now that I 've retired, is doing
what used to be called "dissertation seminars". In these seminars, people present
their proposals to the group, and get feedback the group. Before I retired, I had
several occasions, when I was offered positions in different countries for a
semester at time when faculties felt they needed to boost their methods/stat
support. I hope I'll get similar offers.
