The DVR is AFTER the receiver filters (so ti records what you hear) and BEFORE the tramsmitter filters (so your voice sounds the same as if you were using amicrophone). Thus Rx EQ, notch, APF, etc affect what you record, and Tx EQ, compression, etc., affect what your transmit.
