Greetings Fellow Elecrafters, With great anticipation I finally got around to assembling my P3 (SN 211) last weekend. Assembly went great and power on tests were encouraging.
Unfortunately, it fails to display any output from the IF output port on my K3. Nothing. Every function seems to work just fine except that S9 signals on 30m (freq displayed OK) do not show anything on the display. So, I first thought that maybe I had a bad interconnect cable so tried another ... nothing. Moved the frequency knob of the K3 around ... frequency display tracks the VFO. Tried every function on the P3 ... everything appears to work fine. I have not made the +10dB mod to my transverter board nor have I upgraded the firmware in the P3 from factory (0.28). I am now wondering if I have a busted IF output or (sigh) a faulty P3?? Suggestions on how to troubleshoot this further please?
