My KI03 board failed in 2020 and I was lucky to get it repaired by
Elecraft (though it took months due to Covus issues).
I blew up a ferrite cube and IC so decided to have them do the repair
since the IC leads were high density and I didn't trust being able to
desolder without damage to the board. Highly suspect board is multi-layer.
Without use of the KI03 board my K3 would be useless. Hope it doesn't
fail again. Cause?? as we get no lightening locally.

LOL.? I bet you don't even know if the board is multilayer or not. I
don't, and I'm not about to pull it out of the rig just to find out.
I had a KIO3 board go bad in the past and was lucky enough to be able to
replace it then.? Pretty certain I'm screwed if it happens again.
