A couple of comments. I don't mind advertising so much. In this (western) consumer oriented society, it's good to hear about what's on sale, etc. I just hate it when the advertiser intrudes uninvited into my personal space. Like a telemarketer calling at dinner time. Or one of those sneaky Bulk (US) mail grams that looks important enough, has no return address and for the moment fools me into opening it. With my spam now coming for the most part, into a spam folder instead of my inbox, I find that surprisingly, I am a lot less stressed by it. And one aside. I asked a (US) mail carrier one very hot summer day in Austin Texas, if he didn't really hate all the junk mail that he had to deliver. ( I was attempting some sympathy although I was getting a handful of it as I posed the question) He replied, "Nah, it's job security." Dave Groover PS - I've heard that the "TeleZapper", a product that generates a brief tone on answering a call and knocks your number off of those computer generated auto dialers, really does cut way down on the telemarketers.
