You don't need Ethernet or USB to make this transfer. You can use a standard Apple cable, the kind used to connect to a printer, and just connect one machine to the other via each one's Printer or Modem port. You just need to configure each respective machine to connect via AppleShare thru the proper port -- do this in the Chooser. Granted, this is relatively slow -- you may have to wait about an hour for a full disk to move across -- but it works and is way cheap. Apple rules!
