A temperorary fix for "Reading 1 of 0" (I assume it is a problem at AOL) is to send a message to your AOL account before trying to retrieve your AOL messages. I am did this from my earthlink address. The "Reading 1 of 0" problem seems to happen only it their are no messages in the AOL in box. (My guess)
The Emailer "Send Now" button still works on my computer for sending messages from AOL accounts.
