Now really, please tell me how you manage to not get at least ONE E-mail
via your AOL account each time you check (mostly SPAM!!)?? You must be
checking very often, or else you would be getting the usual SPAM.

I have a schedule set up to check my AOL E-mail once a day, and so far, I
have never had a case where I did not receive at least one E-mail. In
fact, of the 20-30 E-mails I receive through that account daily, usually
only one or two make it through my SPAM filters. The rest all go to the
trash.

I have checked, and if I immediately recheck my AOL E-mail (when there is
nothing there), I also get the "reading 1 of 0" message, and the process
times out. It is obvious that AOL changed something recently, but I am
sure they will not admit (if they even know) what they changed. Their
response will be similar to the Y2K issue some of us saw. And just maybe,
someone at AOL who is wiser than the average, will make a minor change to
the "backdoor" gateway we are using to retrieve E-mail from AOL using CE,
and all will be well again. In the meantime, try checking your E-mail
less often, or else just follow some of the advice already given, and set
up to always send yourself an E-mail (since the AOL function always
performs "get" before "send" - you can make sure there will always be a
message waiting the next time you connect).

And finally, just let me say, like has been said so many times here
before: This is the GREATEST E-mail client ever produced by ANYONE, and
this list is the most helpful of any list anywhere! Hope you all have a
good week.
Best regards,
