RE: rebuilding the database, I've used CE 'forever,' on two different Macs, and I've never rebuilt the database on either. I'm about to jump from OS 8.6 to OS X on one of these machines, with the other one to follow in a few weeks, and I'm hanging onto CE as long as I can. If it ain't broke, why fix it?
