iPod. Or any movable storage device (firewire hard disk, Jaz, Zip, USB key, etc.) I installed many such setups to allow users to travel with their mail without any synchronization matters, after I got used to it because my school hacked Emailer 1.1 to allow anyone to check/send mail from any mac without ever filling login dialogs by carrying the database on a floppy. We had been looking for such a solution for a long time and couldn't find one. Emailer was the only mailer that could do it easily (by changing the ressources containing the paths to prefs and DB to put those on a floppy). With Emailer 2 and bigger media you don't even have to modify the app as you can simply store it on the same disk as the DB if you put the prefs file in the app's folder. Then you will launch your Emailer from your disk with your DB and your prefs on any mac, no matter if that mac has other Emailer/DB/prefs on it. No more copying from home to work or anywhere else (except regular backups, eh). ---- VRic ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
