Yes, and I knew this before and forgot how I did it. I knew that to put an accent over an a or an i for the Persian language one had to do Option E and then depress the letter a or i but I do not know how to put a dot under the t d z for Arabic.
I opened the Keyboard Viewer and also put a check mark on Arabic language but there is no such symbol as a dot under the t z or d. It seems that no matter what language you choose the Keyboard Viewer when depressing Option or Shift will only allow certain diacritical marks but not those for all languages like Arabic. There just has to be a way to put a dot under Arabic letters because I have seen this in print.

I was wondering if any of you experts know how to insert special characters in text in Emailer or Mail for that matter. I correspond with folks from all over the world and there are times when I need to us a diacritical or other special mark on letters. Emailer and Mail both allow me to insert diacritical marks by Option + E and then type the letter but I cannot find a way to put two dots under a letter if need be. I tried messing with Word and the Field insert where one can find formulae but there is nothing there. Any ideas?
Look in the Key Caps program, available in the Apple menu on the left of
your screen. In OS 9 and 8, anyway.
