Well, the Monaco font (used by Emailer) contains many characters. I
suppose other mail clients use *exactly* the same characters as are
contained in the Monaco font on the mac.

In MS Word, it is possible to open a document, select Monaco and select
"insert special characters", select "standard text". the following are
just examples among a serie of 28 x 8 = 224 available characters. No
arabic characters seem to be available there.

These characters then, being high-ascii (I presume), will become encoded
as "text/plain", "quoted-printable" by Emailer, and get through.

!" "$%&'()*+,-./ 01

Note: I have tested this message by sending it to myself first, and the
characters in the message I received were the same as the ones I sent
originally.
