This is my understanding also. The key to all this is the total lack of investment in Clasic. If 10.5 accidently works with Classic, people will find hacks to make it worth. Heck, if nothing breaks, maybe it will be formally kept. But I am dubious on that. If there are any bugs, regardless of how minor, they won't be fixed. From what I see, Classic is dead at Apple. (I have no direct knowledge, however) MacCentral: One final Mac question. What made you decide to buy a Mac? John de Lancie: It was simple. When making the decision, I called a repair company that worked on the different platforms. A repairman said if I wanted to impress my friends, get an IBM, and if wanted to use it every day, get a Mac.
