Why even try to get people to switch their currently working Arduinos to 
Linuxcnc? You'll find that most of the strong opinions on this matter 
come from those already selling the hardware and software kits to the 
open developers. FDM/GGG has limited applications in additive 
manufacturing since it is so slow and also low resolution. The market 
for these is becoming saturated and sales are slowing down after 
leveling. Manufacturers don't take GGG seriously due to all it's 
limitations.

I don't think anyone will try to use Arduinos for hybrid printers that 
combine multiple deposition techniques, multiple materials and 
multi-axis stages. 3D printing or additive manufacturing goes far beyond 
todays glorified glue gun fad. IMHO Linuxcnc should focus on what it 
does best vs getting sidetracked chasing after a passing FAD.
