180 is a boatload!
i used the 72 i/o ( 3x8255) thai pci but it was pooh poohed here
despite it works for me with pull downs.
from futurlec

maybe he could use a plc,
maybe automation direct aka Toyo

as most i/o wont need realtime,
i think ( underline!) that, at most, 'wait till completed' code would
suffice instead of realtime

my2c tomp

btw
i just revieved 4 dual parport 9865 boards, still testing... seems to
need pulls also
got an 8 slot pci mobo? ;-)

there's other taiwan boards besides Advantech
you can recognize them without speaking Chinese
but you gotta trawl the websites
and tell google you're from taiwan ;-)
