In Europe, an amendment or new edition of an EN includes a 'dow' (date of withdrawal) for the previous (or unamended) edition. This is almost always the same date as the official 'docopocoss' - date of cessation of presumption of conformity of the superseded standard. Incidentally, ENs have *dates*, not edition numbers; IEC standards have both. You might find that you would do better to go to the latest version - EN 60950-1:2001, if you have to make any changes at all. It may be easier to meet. I don't know how they deal with this matter in Australia, but it's the sort of thing that you can ask the regulatory authority directly and get a definitive answer. -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only.
