RF career question

EMC and RF gurus: 

I was recently asked by a young engineer if RF/Microwaves would be a good path
for him to take in graduate school. He has a strong interest and aptitude for
analog and RF engineering.

I think RF is a good move but I would like to get opinions from the rest of
you.
