Change labs. They should be working with you not against you. John states it
well.
A big difference between doing the job well - maximizing etc - and trying to
fail you.

Well, they are NOT supposed to, at least in Europe. This is over-zealous. It
is required to make a reasonable attempt to maximize emissions under the
restrictions imposed by the relevant standard, but an officious search for
'worst-worst-worst' conditions is not only not required, it is beyond the
legal requirements.
