You mean it's politically fudged there. Having 'interpreted' the word
'the' to mean that every item has to have the DoC with it (!), it
settles for something quite different to be included in the user
instructions:
Hereby, [Name of manufacturer], declares that this [type of equipment]
is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant
provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC.
