My last employer was doing so, and I took advantage of it when I
interviewed for that job: they switched between AC & DC (for the LVD) so it
bought me some brownie points (I hoped). Once I started there, I quickly
fixed it.

Seriously: there are pros (always available, up-to-date, the latest) and
cons (you get questions all the time and have to wear your lawyers' hat).
If there is more than one (1) DoC, you end up with complicated system, not
to mention that you need to have very good relations with the web master -
if you know who it is (very difficult in a large company).
